1st Schedule of payment status - Gilardi & CO. providing conflicting information
Mr. Janvey, Mr. Sadler, & OSIC,
Why do thousands of Stanford depositors have to endure waiting
for so long to receive payments from approved distributions?
Judge Godbey approved the 6th Interim distribution on
October 23, 2019, and on January 9, 2020, Mr. Janvey filed the1st schedule of 1%
payments. It is February 18, 2020, and there is no concrete information about
the mailings of checks.
Recently, depositors contacted Gilardi & Co. to ask for the
status of the mailing of checks from the 6th Interim distribution, and a lady
named Mary said that checks were in the mail. Later, the same person informed
that checks were on hold because they were still gathering information from
other depositors.
What other depositor’s information is Gilardi &
Co.gathering?
Why is Gilardi & Co. providing conflicting information?
What is the actual status of the mailing of the checks?
Why is it taking so long?
COViSAL and other groups were contacted to express their
concerns about their experience and uncertainty when contacting Gilardi &
Co.
I appreciate it if you instruct Gilardi & Co. to answer their
phones and respond to depositor inquiries on time and with veridic information.
Stanford’s debacle just had its 11th anniversary and all these
years, we continue to see indifference, misinformation, and pennies on recoveries.
All the professionals involved in the Stanford case received
millions of dollars in compensation; a little empathy and caring are the least
you can do for thousands of families in financial distress. Mail those checks
on time!
